Today I took new pictures of the two girls, being fully washed and groomed for the show week-end in Varazdin (HR). Hella and Hiba are 20 months old, and the first one is available to a forever loving home. Both girls have shown attitude in shows and coursing. Serious inquiries for Hella are welcome.

WORLD WINNER DOG SHOW SALZBURG 2012

I would minimize if I said that I'm over the moon...

My deepest thanks go to my dear friend Regina (kennel from SandSound), for giving me the fantastic opportunity of attending the World Dog Show 2012 in Salzburg (A).
As it always happens to me, when I go to a show as a visitor, I always end up handling some dogs... but this time was really special...

HAKON (a.k.a the Golden Boy) ;-) was exc1 CACS in intermediate class!!

Thanks to a lucky change of plans, and to a very good friend of mine, I will be attending World Dog Show Salzburg 2012... though as a spectator.
I hope I'll have a great time, and hope I'll manage to make a lot of pictures!

Well, after such a sunny Saturday (it was so hot that we went to the beach with the dogs), who would have ever guessed that it would be so rainy the next day? ;-)
Nonetheless, we packed the car and got ready for the national dog show.

SPRING CLUB SHOW PADENGHE SUL GARDA (I) 29.04.12

What a great day! As always, the annual Spring Club Show was held in Padenghe sul Garda (BS), thought this year the weather wasn't as good as the last time. On the other hand, the company was excellent; it was lovely to see many friends again, and it was a sort of family reunion, since 5 of Bagrijana's 11 puppies were present (though only 3 were shown that day).

Borzois were judged by Mrs. Jocelyne Gagnè (CDN) - kennel Starkeeper

HAKON, the golden boy, was EXC1 in int. class, and ResCAC

HALINA (owner Antica Carsulae kennel) was, too, EXC1 int. class and ResCAC

HOLLIE (owner Mosquito Bite kennel) was EXC3 in int. class

and our shining star, BAGRIJANA, gained EXC1, CAC, BB, BOB, SOCIAL CHAMPION 2012!! NEW ITALIAN CHAMPION!! (in homologation)
Bagrijana won Best Bitch over a total of 34 bitches... and BEST OF BREED over the numerous entry of 57 borzois!!

judge's critique "Very pretty outline, nice head, strong neck, good forechest, good depth of chest, good bone, strong topline, good breath of hindquarters, nice angulations front and rear, well balanced, very clean coming and going, good strong smooth profile movement"

BOS was the handsome "Viuga" (Lucesarniy Zolotoe Sozvesdie), congrats to breeder and owner!

MEET US!! Spring Club Show Padenghe sul Garda (I)

Well, well... could we ever miss the annual Spring Club Show hosted by the Italian Club for Sighthounds and held the 29th of May in Padenghe sul Garda (I)? The event is always well-organized, The judges are chosen amongst breeder-judge specialists, the show ground is lovely, and usually the weather is pretty good too. What would I want more? So, hope to meet you there and have a nice day together!

Romae Dies Natalis - Anniversary of the Foundation of Rome

What a great week-end! We were invited, along with the historical reenactment groups Teuta Lingones Cinghiale Bianco and Teuta Nertobacos, to the Anniversary of the Foundation of Rome.
It was an amazing experience, and I hope I'll manage to repeat it in future. THANK YOU!!
